Welcome to our website at printcity.de and many thanks for your interest in our organisation. Protecting personal data is very important to us. We process your data in accordance with the relevant laws that protect your privacy, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the country-specific implementing laws applicable to our organisation.

Our Privacy Statement explains what personal data we collect from you on our website, what we use it for, when we delete it and the security measures we take to ensure the best-possible protection of your data. We also inform you of the legal basis on which we are permitted to process data.

We further explain your legal rights in connection with the processing of this data.

Personal data is all information which makes it possible to identify a natural person, including above all your name, date of birth, address, telephone number and e-mail address, but also your IP address.

Anonymous data is all information that cannot be linked personally in any way to a specific user.

Your rights as the data subject

Your rights as the data subject are described in Arts. 15 - 22 EU GDPR:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 EU GDPR),
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 EU GDPR),
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 EU GDPR),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 EU GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 EU GDPR),
  • Right to object (Art. 21 EU GDPR).

Data collection / Personal data

We generally do not require any personal data from you when you visit our website. You only transmit data to our web server (for technical purposes) when you access our website via your Internet browser.

The following data is collected when communication is active between your Internet browser and our web server:

 Your web browser and operating system

  • The name of your Internet service provider
  • Information about the website from which you linked to ours
  • Information on the web pages you accessed on our site, the date and time of your visit
  • The name of a requested file, whether a file was transferred and the volume of data transferred
  • The IP address assigned by your Internet service Provider

For technical security reasons, in particular to prevent attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data in accordance with Art. 6 Section 1 lit. f EU-GDPR. After no more than seven days, the data is anonymised by truncating the IP address to the domain level, meaning that no connection can be made to an individual user. Only anonymised data is then processed for statistical purposes.

Further data collection

We exclusively use all personal data collected via our website for the purposes described below, and in compliance with the applicable laws and/or only with your express consent.

Art. 6 EU-GDPR in particular describes when data processing is lawful. It states the scenarios in which data processing is lawful.

This is the case, for instance, when

You have given your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a EU-GDPR),

  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract / or to take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b EU-GDPR),
  • Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c EU-GDPR) or
  • Processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of our organisation, except where these are overridden by your interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f EU-GDPR).

The personal data we collect are naturally treated confidentially. In our organisation, only authorised staff members who provide technical, business, editorial or customer management support have access to your data.   

We only share your data with third parties to the extent permitted by law or with your consent; otherwise we never share your data with third parties unless compelled to do so by law.

Contact form / Contact by e-mail (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a, b EU-GDPR)

Our website at printcity.de does not incorporate a contact form that can be used for electronic communication.

If you contact us by e-mail, we process any personal data provided in the e-mail only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

Registration / Customer account (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a, b EU-GDPR)

On our website at printcity.de, we do not offer users the option of registering by entering personal data.

Newsletter (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a EU-GDPR)

Users can subscribe to our free newsletter. Subscription requests are sent via an e-mail address. The sender’s address is used to distribute the newsletter. In this context, the principle of data economy and data avoidance applies, since no other information other than your e-mail address is required. 

Naturally you can cancel your subscription at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the newsletter and thus withdrawing your consent.

Alternatively, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending an e-mail to privacy@printcity.de.

We continue to send the newsletter to our existing customers if they have given prior written consent to receiving it.

Marketing purposes, existing customers (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f EU-GDPR)

PrintCity GmbH & Co. KG is interested in maintaining its customer relationship with you and providing you with information and offers relating to our products/services. We therefore process your data in order to send you relevant information and offers by e-mail.

If you do not want your personal data to be used for direct marketing purposes, you can opt out at any time; this also applies to profiling, insofar as it relates to direct marketing. If you opt out, we will no longer process your data for this purpose. You can opt out free of charge, without stating reasons, preferably by sending an informal e-mail to privacy@printcity.de.

Employment applications (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a, b EU-GDPR)

Thank you for your interest in working for PrintCity GmbH & Co. KG.

We recognize the importance of your personal data and process any personal data you disclose to us as part of your employment application exclusively for the purpose of effectively and correctly completing the application process and contacting you during it (e.g. an invitation to an employment interview). We do not share any of this data with third parties without your consent.

As part of the application process, you are requested to disclose personal information. In this context, the principle of data economy and data avoidance applies, meaning that you need only disclose the information we need to effectively review your application, such as your curriculum vitae, your address and other contact information. Without this information, we unfortunately cannot review your employment application.

We take all the security measures required to ensure the security and confidentiality of your information. You can send your employment application to us by post or e-mail to bewerbung@printcity.de.

We store your data for the purpose described above until the application process has been completed and the related deadlines have passed, but for no more than 6 months after a decision has been reached. However, you have the option of allowing us to store your employment application for an extended period of time and match it with other vacant positions that fit your profile. For this purpose, we need your written consent, which you can send to us together with your employment application. In this case, we store your data for the maximum period defined by you in the written consent. Automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 Paras. 1 and 4 EU-GDPR)

We do not use any automated methods to find out more about your e.g. interests or buying behavior based on your personal data (“profiling”).

Cookies (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f EU-GDPR)

Our Internet pages use what are known as “cookies” in several instances. Cookies help to make our site more user friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files which are stored our your computer and by your browser (locally on your hard drive).

These cookies make it possible for us to analyse how users use our websites. Based on the results, we can, for example, design website content to better meet user needs. Cookies also enable us to measure the effectiveness of a specific advertisement and, for instance, have it placed based on topical user interests.

Our website at printcity.de does not use analytical programs or any other techniques to track your user behavior.

Social media plugins for social networks

Our website at printcity.de does not use social media Plugins.

To register for our events we integrate the registration page of service providers. You will find according information at each location.

The data transmission runs via a secured ssl encryption.

Duration of storage and criteria for defining it

PrintCity GmbH & Co. KG processes and stores your personal data only for the period required to achieve the respective purpose of processing, or for the storage period required by law (in particular business and tax law). After our purpose has been achieved or the required storage period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted.

Data transmission - Recipients / Recipient categories

Only authorised persons and external service providers who provide technical, business, editorial and customer management support have access to your personal data.

Secure transmission of your data

We implement the corresponding technical and organisational measures required to protect data stored with us against random or willful manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Security levels are continuously reviewed in collaboration with security experts and updated to meet new security standards.

The transmission of data from and to our website at printcity.de is encrypted with ssl.

Users naturally also have the option of using alternative channels of communication (e.g. regular post).

Links to other providers

Our website incorporates links - clearly identifiable - to the Internet sites of other companies.

In the case of such links to the websites of other providers, we have no control whatsoever over their content. We therefore can offer no guarantees or assume any liability for such content. The respective providers or operators of these sites are responsible for the content in all cases. At the time the links were set up, the linked sites were reviewed for any potential legal violations or apparent infringements. No unlawful content was found at the time the links were set up. However, we cannot be reasonably expected to continuously monitor the linked sites without any concrete indications of legal violations. Should we become aware of any legal violations, the related links will be deleted immediately.

Rights of the data subject

Under the established laws, you have the right to receive information free of charge about your personal data, and a right to have data corrected, processing limited or data deleted, insofar as no data storage periods defined by law prevent such actions. Furthermore, you can object to the processing of your data, assert your right of data portability or lodge complaints against data processing with the responsible data protection supervisory authority.

If you have given us your consent to process data, you naturally can withdraw it for future effect without stating reasons.

If we process your data to safeguard justified interests, you can object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your unique situation; the same applies to any profiling that is based on these provisions. We will no longer process your personal data in this case, unless we can establish compelling, legitimate reasons for processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal Claims.
