Seminars, conferences, information events and open houses play an increasingly important role for PrintCity.This is why PrintCity offers seminars and invite representatives from the printing industry and their customers to seminars, conferences and presentations at trade congresses.
PrintCity congresses and seminars are developed from the projects in the Activity Groups. They deal with current issues from the graphic arts industry. Specialists from the member companies and from partner companies report on PrintCity projects on web and sheetfed printing, packaging and publishing. In addition, there are also presentations which focus specifically on problematic issues in the industry, such as increasing productivity in the printing process. Networking events encourage companies from the printing industry to get to know each other and to collaborate in new markets. Visitors to the events enjoy the bundled, industry-wide expertise of the PrintCity members and share in the transfer of knowledge. To date, PrintCity events have been held in central and eastern Europe, Japan, China and Latin America.

The yearly meeting of the Balkan print media community
Hosts of the event are the Technical Association of the Paper and Printing Industry (PNYME), Hungary; manroland Magyarország Kft., Hungary; manroland AG, Germany and the Budapest “MoD Mapping Company”.
The attendees of the event will be welcomed by Mr. Endre Fábián, president of PNYME, who will inform about the goals and activities of the Hungarian Association.
Prof. Gerd Finkbeiner, Chairman of the Executive Board of manroland AG, co-founder and great supporter of the Balkan Print Forum initiative, will present his “Perspective Print 2020 – Increasing efficiency and creating value with premium printing”.
Speakers from Muller Martini GmbH, Océ Printing Systems GmbH and Leonhard KURZ Stiftung & Co.KG will give their presentations at the Forum under the motto “Premium Printing – High Impact, Good Achievements”.
The companies manroland AG, Germany, UPM and KNER Packaging Kft., Hungary will participate in the discussion panel: “Good Achievements in Packaging Printing”, which has been introduced in the event programme for the first time this year.

This is the first step into a closer cooperation between Abro and the PrintCity Alliance. Through Abro, the alliance will make its shared knowledge available to the Brazilian market. This will include further customer seminars and Portuguese versions of alliance reports and best practice guides.
First PrintCity Alliance Latin American News Conference – Expoprint – June 2010
On June 25 during the Expoprint exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil, PrintCity launched its new Latin American activities at a news conference introducing the alliance membership, aims and worldwide activities.
Additionally the PrintCity Alliance announced initial Brazilian customer events starting in August 2010. These comprised two events: one on August 18 focused on web offset printing together with ABRO, plus another event on August 19 focused on sheetfed packaging printing together with SENAI and ABIGRAF.
Finally, PrintCity members Sun Chemical and manroland participating in the news conference, plus alliance partner Dalim, shared their latest company news for Latin America.
