Food safety and premium finshing techniques at the 9th UV Days event

| PI 265

The members of the PrintCity Alliance are looking forward to participating in the 9th annual “UV Days” event held by their newest member, IST Metz. Two seminars will explore how to meet strict food safety requirements while using premium finishing techniques.

Tradition meets Modernity

This will be the theme of the 9th UV Days, an event which has grown to become the largest in-house trade fair for UV and LED technologies in the world. From 13 to 16 May 2019, IST Metz company grounds will once again be transformed into a hub of the UV printing industry for transferring know-how and exchanging experiences.
IST Metz joined the PrintCity Alliance last year and has now issued invitations to all members to support the UV Days 2019.
“Since its introduction in 2002 as more of a seminar with about 100 invited guests, the UV Days event has developed into the world’s largest in-house trade fair for optical systems.  We are looking forward to welcoming over 40 exhibitors and some 1,000 international visitors to our company grounds in Nürtingen, Germany. For years now, the UV Days have no longer been just an in-house fair, but rather a guarantee of first-hand expertise, a diverse programme of events, leading industry contacts, award-winning print products and a well-coordinated overall concept,” says Holger Kühn, Managing Director of Sales at IST Metz, explaining the significance of the event.

Seminars on premium finishing techniques and food safety

The seminars will explore two very critical aspects of production processes involving UV technologies: What premium effects can be achieved with which technologies and what needs to be taken into account in terms of food safety. They will cover all aspects of developing packaging, from design and material selection, to finishing and production.
Samples will be provided for visitors to experience the visual and haptic effects.
The two seminars will be presented once daily throughout the event.

The UV Days are being held from 13 - 16 May 2019 on IST Metz company grounds in Nürtingen, Germany.
Attendance at the event and the seminars is free of charge.
