UV specialist IST METZ strengthens PrintCity Alliance

UV specialist IST METZ has been a member of the PrintCity Alliance since 1 January 2018. The machine systems provider, based in Nürtingen, Germany, has already participated in the first few events of the year, including the 5th Packaging Inspiration Forum in Hamburg and Packaging Innovations in Warsaw and Zürich.

5th Packaging Inspiration Forum: Trends and Consumer Behaviour

Trends in the packaging industry and the increasingly rapid changes in consumer behaviour were the overriding themes at the 5th Packaging Inspiration Forum, held by the PrintCity Alliance in Hamburg on 26 and 27 February 2018. The one-and-a-half days of the event offered an ideal opportunity for further discussion of the presentations, breakout and panel sessions. The event achieved 150 visitors, a record number.

The members of the PrintCity Alliance will be exhibiting at their shared stand at Interpack under the theme “Food Safety and Finishing”. Appearing with them for the first time is Epple Druckfarben AG, a global printing ink supplier based in Neusäss, Germany, which is also joining the Alliance.

To match the high-quality folded boxes of the MÜESLOVE range, a sophisticated display has now been produced as a collaboration between THIMM Display and the PrintCity Alliance. High levels of attractiveness, functionality and efficiency combine to create an absolute eye-catcher at the POS.

FachPack 2016: New products and technologies also to feature in a seminar

Following their successful participation last year, the members of the PrintCity Alliance will again be exhibiting on a joint stand at FachPack in Nuremberg. The Alliance will be presenting both its own work and the latest technologies – not only on the exhibition stand, but also at a seminar in the PackBox.

High-quality labels with a strong feel

The PrintCity Alliance is presenting labels with strong haptic and visual effects, almost identical to those of the associated folding carton previously produced. Self-adhesive paper labels for the green El Drago outer packaging for luxury drinks were produced in a first step. They complement the Real Life Samples project and are being shown for the first time at FachPack and LabelExpo.
